Ode to Morningside
I love waking up to see the tide
And going for a walk with my pup by my side
On stormy days your waves pick up
I love to slow down and drink tea from my cup
The seasons bring surprises at every turn
When the blustery sea wind picks up it is sometimes quite stern
Staring and dreaming as the boats pass by
I nod at my neighbors smile and say hi
Oh Morningside I love you so
I do not think I will ever go
